Our client is looking for an independent, reliable Cafeteria Kitchen Helper to help with the lunch program at a school in Moncton, NB. This is a vital role where you would be serving nutritious meals to students from primary through high school.
The Kitchen Helper is responsible for preparing, cooking, serving, and cleaning up lunch for approximately 100 students each day working with then hands-on Kitchen Manager.
What You'll Do
- Prepare, cook, and serve daily lunch for ~100 students
- Follow recipe guides, schedules, and food safety expectations
- Ensure food preparation areas are clean and sanitized
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and regulations
- Work efficiently by yourself and with the Kitchen Manager
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in commercial kitchens or formal culinary training
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Comfortable preparing meals at scale
- Clean criminal record (must be eligible to work around children)
- Bilingualism is an asset, not a requirement
- WHMIS not required but considered an asset
