ACCOUNTING CLERK - ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN - INSURANCE COMPANY - UP TO $80,000/YEAR - START QUICKLY!

Drake International is a recruitment agency specializing in finding talent for its clients. We are currently working in partnership with a renowned commercial damage insurance company, based in Brossard, which is looking for an accounting technician to join its team. As a successful candidate, you will be employed directly by our client, a friendly and growing company.

We are looking for motivated people to carry out various tasks within their firm. In support of the accounting department, the accounting employee will be responsible for carrying out general accounting tasks relating to accounts payable and financial statements.

What we offer

Permanent employment
Full-time employment, 35 hours per week
Daytime schedule, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Competitive salary of $65 to $80,000/year, to be discussed depending on experience

What you bring
Intermediate-senior accounting
Be in charge of financial statements
Control the company's finances
Be responsible for accounts payable
Ability to find errors and understand them

Perform general bookkeeping (payables, receivables, payments, bank reconciliations, government remittances, etc.);
Prepare financial statements;
Analyze general ledger accounts;
Prepare adjusting entries;
Optimize accounting processes;
Manage payroll;
Coordinate the end of year file;
Other accounting tasks

Who are you ?
Fluency in French required
Being able to read texts in English
Studies related to accounting
You have at least three (3) years of similar work experience
Be autonomous and able to work alone
Have good logic to perform several rounds of accounting
Good concentration
