Millwrights / Industrial Mechanics – Multiple openings
(full time & Part time available)
Calling all Millwrights in the Quinte area!
Drake International has some new exciting opportunities with one of Belleville’s longest established and credible Industrial maintenance and fabrication companies.
This organization is looking for Millwrights who have previous experience working with heavy industrial equipment and currently hold a red seal or millwright certificate. Experience within the Food, Pulp & Paper or fabrication industries preferred.
ACCOUNTABILITES:
- Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions, set up, install, maintain, repair, fabricate parts, and replace machinery and mechanical components.
- Experience working in a production environment and material handling equipment considered an asset
- Experience in assisting with troubleshooting of production processes and systems preferred
- Coach and instruct apprentices
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
- Assembling machinery and equipment (prior to installation)
- Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5+ years of experience working as a Millwright in a shop setting
- Experience with conveyors, electrical and electronic controls, hydraulic system, pneumatic system, pumps and compressors, tool grinders, welding equipment, and hand tools
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork are essential to successful completion of projects
- Strong mechanical aptitude is crucial to the success of the team
- Ability to work with written instructions and follow plans with minimal supervision
- CSA approved steel toed boots are required
- Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Endorsement
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check
- Electrical background considered an asset
COMPENSATION:
- Wage is $38 per hour and up based on experience
- Shift schedule is to be determined (flexibility for full time, part time etc)
- These are permanent positions within an established employer
