When you hire a worker through an agency, you’re not just paying for their hourly wage, you’re covering the behind-the-scenes costs of employing them, including payroll administration, taxes, government contributions, WSIB coverage, benefits (if applicable), and more. We take on the process of recruiting, screening, and onboarding new employees, ensuring you get a fully vetted worker ready to contribute from day one. While the upfront cost may seem higher, it saves you time, reduces hiring risks, and provides flexibility, making it a cost-effective solution in the long run.
We help fill temporary, temp-to-perm, and permanent positions in a variety of industries, ensuring we meet your unique staffing needs.
We have a comprehensive process to ensure we find you the right fit for your open positions. Here’s a glance at our process:
- Our approach starts with understanding your organization, goals, and company culture.
- With this information, we formulate detailed job descriptions, leveraging our network of pre-vetted candidates and diverse sourcing tools to identify potential candidates that align with your organization’s needs.
- Our team conducts in-depth interviews with each candidate, leveraging our P3 assessment tool when necessary to understand their unique skills, qualifications, and cultural fit. We then present you with the right talent for your open position(s).
- Our commitment doesn’t end there, as we help facilitate the onboarding process and stay in touch to ensure long-term success and satisfaction.
If you’re interested in partnering with us to find the right fit for your open role(s), fill out our staffing order form and our team will reach out shortly, or call 1 800 GO DRAKE to connect with your local Drake branch.
The speed at which we fill vacancies depends on factors, including the role type and skill requirements. With temporary roles, we can often place qualified candidates within days, depending on availability and your specific needs. With permanent roles, the process may take longer as we conduct thorough screenings, interviews, and assessments to ensure the right fit. Timelines vary based on job complexity, industry demand, and candidate availability. Ultimately, our goal is to ensure we connect you with the right candidate for the role(s).
Knowing when to choose between a temporary and permanent employee can make a difference in your staffing strategy. For starters, temporary employees join your company for a pre-determined period, often to meet seasonal demand, project-based needs, or cover a leave of absence. Conversely, a permanent employee is hired directly by your company to help your organization meet its long-term goals. Choosing between the two comes down to your business goals.
If you’re unsure which you need, we offer temp-to-perm staffing, allowing you to bring in a temporary employee with the option to transition into a permanent role based on performance and your evolving business needs. This approach gives you the flexibility to assess a candidate in real-time before making a long-term commitment, ensuring the best fit for your team and company goals.
In addition to helping you fill roles, we offer a range of Talent Management Solutions to support you at any stage of the hiring process and beyond, including Personality Assessments, Background Checks and Verification, Skills Testing, Payroll Applications, engagement surveys, exit interviews, and more.
Billing varies based on the solution and/or service we provide. For example:
- Temporary Workers: You will receive a weekly invoice, including the bill amount based on the hours worked by the employee(s) and instructions on how to make a payment.
- Permanent Workers: You will receive a one-time invoice shortly after the successful placement of the candidate(s).
If you have any questions regarding billing terms and payment options, our team is happy to assist.

We recommend having multiple individuals should an approver be unavailable. If you cannot approve your hours on time, contact your Drake representative.
If you’ve approved your hours and noticed an error afterward, there’s no need to worry! Contact your Drake representative, and we’ll be glad to help.
If an employee submits incorrect hours, you have the option to reject them. To ensure the employee(s) can adjust their hours accurately, we recommend providing a clear explanation of why they were rejected.
