The Role: Tool & Die Maker
This client is looking for someone who has 2 – 3 years of experience in an Automotive manufacturing environment. The successful candidate must have hands on direct experience with Stamping processes.
The client is looking for a Licensed Tool & Die Maker with direct relevant experience with Stamping processes in the automotive sector. Assist the Engineering department with projects involving:
- Process improvement studies, development and implementation
- Cycle time reduction
- Change over time reduction
- Tooling downtime reduction
- Assists production in the recommendation of press automation.
- Assists in development and troubleshooting of die protection systems and sensoring program
- CAD Manipulation for part, tooling, process, equipment and plant layout
- Technical member of the Continuous Improvement and CAR teams
What You’ll Bring
- Manufacturing Engineering degree or Tool & Die Maker Diploma
- Self starter with project leader skills
- Previous metal manufacturing exposure a necessity
- Welding background/experience an asset
- Previous metal stampings experience an asset
- Computer literacy including CAD
