Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Location: Cornwall, Ontario
Work Type: Permanent – Monday to Friday – Day Shift
Salary: $21.00 to $23.00 per hour
Vacancy: Immediate Position
What you'll do
- Electronic and mechanical assembly of assemblies and sub-assemblies according to drawings.
- Cable assembly
- Dependent on level of experience, may work on ‘first piece’ assemblies originating from new designs.
- Dependent on level of experience, may assist with inspection when required;
- Depending on level of experience, may undertake soldering duties.
- Accuracy of assembly measured by rejection reports, working in accordance with Workmanship Standard Operating Procedures;
- Required to participate in and adhere to company Quality, Safety and Environmental standards.
- IPC-A-620 accreditation
What You’ll Bring
- Manual dexterity and ability to work with small components
- Ability to learn and multi-task across other areas of the organization, as well as flexibility to work in other parts of the organizations
- Able to obtain and maintain Controlled Goods & Industrial Security Clearances
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and instructions
- Physical capability: Able to lift up to 25 lbs and move carts as needed
- Team player: Compatible with a small, collaborative group
- High School Diploma preferred
