Job Title: Production – General Operator
Location: Milton L9T 5H3. Ontario, Onsite, please check on google maps if you can reach work.
Work Type: Temporary
Salary/Pay: $21 base pay with $1.40 premium for the 12-hour night shifts and $0.80 for all the other night shifts
Vacancy: Immediate and Existing vacancy
 
What you’ll do:
 
  • Shift: 12-hour shift, Rotating shift – Day and Night shift
  • Clean work area regularly throughout the shift
  • Feeding and operation of the equipment on the packaging lines as required
  • Report on mechanical and electrical issues immediately
  • Granulating of waste as required
  • Operate forklift and floor washer as required (when qualified)
  • Preparing new sets of SPC/CZ/AB filters and perform filter changes
  • Remove plastic, cardboard and waste and place in appropriate bins
  • Dispose of broken pallets and scrap wood
  • Remove wool from pendulum area following production stoppages
  • Ensure the waste and raw material storage areas are organized and orderly
  • Willing to have flexible break times if called upon to keep the factory producing
  • Any other tasks as necessary or designated
 
What you’ll bring:
  • Previous Manufacturing and warehouse experience is an asset
  • Ability to lift up to 50 – 70 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Ability to stand and work for extended periods
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • The ability to use basic hand tools (air chisel, grinder, utility knife) in a safe manner 
  • Must be able to pass a Criminal Background check
