Delivery Helper
Our client, who is a well-established furniture company, is looking for delivery helpers to assist with furniture delivery all over New Brunswick and PEI!
You would be assisting with loading and unloading of products, at the warehouse and at customers’ homes. In some cases, you would be unpackaging and setting up the product for the customer.
Previous experience with a moving company/delivery company or heavy lifting is required.
This is temporary work to cover busy season and vacations
What we offer
- Tuesday – Sunday
- 7:30 am – 4:30 pm/7:30pm (depends on when the work is complete)
- $17 an hour
- Full Time Hours
- Temporary work to cover busy season and vacations
- Weekly pay, every Friday!
- Free WHMIS Training
What you do
- Load furniture onto delivery trucks (must be comfortable with heavy lifting, 80 lbs and over)
- Call customers to confirm delivery times, address, and products to be delivered
- Deliver and set up products into customer home’s
- Remove plastic and cardboard packaging from products
- Actively participate in all-new product training sessions
- Stage next delivery order
- Completion of “end of day” paperwork
- Other duties as required
Who you are
- Previous experience with a moving company/delivery company or heavy lifting is required
- Must be physically fit and able to comfortably lift 80 lbs or more
- Comfortable dealing with customers
- Heavy lifting is required
- Able to read and understand English
- Comfortable working long hours
- Able to fill out necessary reports
