The Role: Forklift Operator
- Operate a forklift to safely move, load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trailers efficiently while ensuring product accuracy and damage prevention.
- Stage, organize, and prepare freight for shipment.
- Perform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance concerns.
- Complete inventory counts, shipping/receiving documentation, and other operational records accurately.
- Load and unload LTL and cross-dock freight in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Meet productivity targets while following company health and safety procedures.
- Assist with general warehouse duties and support the team as needed.
What You'll Bring
- Valid forklift certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of forklift operating experience, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Experience operating a counterbalance forklift is required.
- Reach truck experience is considered a strong asset.
- Experience loading and unloading trailers safely and efficiently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Clean criminal background.
Cross-dock, LTL, shipping/receiving, and material handling equipment experience are considered assets.
