Our client, a leader in distribution operations, is seeking a skilled Buyer to join their growing procurement team. This is a fantastic full‑time, permanent opportunity for an experienced purchasing professional looking to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic organization.

What You’ll Do:
- Manage the current database of product SKUs, ensuring product descriptions and pricing remain accurate
- Create new product codes as required
- Monitor inventory levels using existing reporting tools and coordinate timely purchasing to prevent shortages or overstock
- Source and evaluate new and existing vendors to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability
- Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and supply agreements with suppliers
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier documentation
- Conduct vendor evaluations and manage ongoing supplier relationships
- Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations to support informed purchasing decisions
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement and supply chain functions
What We're Looking For:
- Ability to speak and write in English and French
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems
- Familiarity with sourcing strategies, vendor management, and negotiation techniques
- Excellent communication skills for supplier interaction and negotiation
- Ability to analyze pricing and inventory data
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple procurement projects
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain dynamics (highly desirable)
- Ability to collaborate across departments to meet operational and production needs
