Order Picker

Location: Dartmouth Burnside, NS

Work Type: Temp to Perm

Salary: $19.50/hr

• Special Note: The buses do not run at the nighttime hour here, you will need your own car or uber in order to commute

What you'll do

• Core Order Picking & Fulfillment
  • Order picking — Accurately pick pharmaceutical, medical, and pet‑care products according to pick lists or RF scanner instructions.
  • Inventory handling — Verify product codes, quantities, and lot numbers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Packing & staging — Prepare picked orders for shipping, including packing, labeling, and staging pallets or totes.
• Material Handling
  • Walkie operation — Use a walkie/rider pallet jack to move products throughout the warehouse (training provided if no experience).
  • Manual handling — Lift, move, and organize boxes or totes up to required weight limits.
• Technology & Systems
  • RF scanner use — Operate handheld scanners to track inventory, confirm picks, and update order status.
  • Warehouse systems — Work within CDMV’s Warehouse Management System to ensure real‑time accuracy.
• Quality & Compliance
  • Accuracy checks — Perform double‑checks on product codes, expiry dates, and quantities.
  • Pharmaceutical compliance — Follow strict handling procedures for medical and veterinary products.
