Shunter – Vaughan – (Day Shift)
We currently have the below full-time Shunter position available in Vaughan, ON for one of our major transportation clients. This is a Monday to Friday role with a 7:30 AM start, offering an ongoing opportunity to get hired permanently after 2–3 months based on performance. You will be working on payroll only.
As a Shunter, you’ll be responsible for safely moving trailers in and out of docks, performing inspections, and coordinating yard flow to ensure smooth operations.
What we offer:
- Monday to Friday – Day Shift 7:30 AM start
- 10–12 hour shifts with overtime after 50 hours/week
- Pay Rate: $27/hr – Weekly pay
- Ongoing full-time opportunity with potential for permanent hire
- Payroll only
What you do:
- Shunt trailers safely and efficiently within the yard and dock area
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on equipment
- Communicate with dispatch and warehouse teams for trailer placement
- Follow all company and safety policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate yard and trailer movement records
Who you are:
- Valid AZ License with clean CVOR and Abstract
- Minimum 3 years of AZ driving with some shunting experience
- Ability to work independently and follow safety protocols
- Must have a clean criminal background check
