We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) for our client, a patient-focused organization striving to enhance the health and well-being of specialized populations through patient care. Our clients focus is on providing exemplary physical and mental health care for military veterans.
The Nurse Practitioner will support our clients Edmonton clinic in a non-primary care capacity. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for conducting disability assessments, preparing documentation, and completing administrative duties. Clinical coverage will be required only on a short-term basis to support the team when other NPs are on vacation or otherwise unavailable. All relevant training will be provided.
This is a hybrid and flexible role with in-person attendance required on to two days per week for testing and assessments, and the opportunity to work remote and outside of traditional business hours for the remainder of the week to complete documentation and report writing responsibilities of this role. This is a fantastic opportunity for those with other professional or personal commitments.

What You'll Do:

Conduct structured clinical assessments and prepare supporting documentation.

Provide temporary clinical coverage for NPs on leave or vacation.

Complete paperwork and maintain electronic health records associated with assessments.

Ensure documentation is accurate, confidential, and compliant with relevant standards and privacy legislation.

Evaluate individuals’ functional limitations resulting from physical impairments.

Perform Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE) to assess individuals’ physical abilities in relation to occupational or daily living demands.

Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals at the clinic.
What We're Looking For:

Current certificate of registration as a Nurse Practitioner in good standing with the College of Nurses of Alberta.
- Master of Science in Nursing or relevant graduate degree is preferred.

Demonstrated ability to conduct patient interviews, physical examinations, and implement client-centered treatment plans.

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Capable of working independently with a high degree of self-direction.

Proficient in the use of electronic medical records and digital tools.

Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Additional Liability coverage is required; relevant professional memberships are an asset.
