We are sourcing an experienced Financial Analyst on behalf of our client in the Cornwall Market. This position will support the financial management and operations of a growing manufacturing company.
The role involves working closely with the Controller to oversee financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, and internal controls, ensuring accurate and timely financial information to aid strategic decision-making.

What You’ll Do?
- Support monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial close processes, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Assist and monitor internal controls for ASPE and company policy compliance.
- Oversee inventory, cost accounting, and standard costing.
- Analyze manufacturing cost variances and report findings to operations and leadership.
- Review and approve vendor payments.
- Coordinate with auditors and prepare documentation for external audits.
- Support compliance with tax filings and regulatory reporting, including VAT and GST/HST.
- Help Drive process improvements and automation in finance and accounting.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and feedback.
What We’re looking For?
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or working towards it is preferred
- Over 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of ASPE, cost accounting, and inventory management
- Proficiency with ERP systems (AS400, Microsoft 365 Business Central) and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong communication abilities for cross-functional work
