Procurement & Inventory Coordinator

We are currently recruiting for a detailoriented and technically knowledgeable Procurement & Inventory Coordinator to support a growing, multisite building supply operation in Eastern Ontario. This role is ideal for someone with strong product knowledge across lumber, building materials, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical supplies, who is comfortable working extensively with computer systems and enjoys taking a proactive, assertive approach to procurement and inventory management.
This is more than an inventory role—it is a key position supporting cost control, forecasting, vendor relationships, and operational efficiency, with the opportunity to grow into a leadership role as the business continues to expand.

What We Offer:
  • Compensation: $54,000-$66,500 annually, commensurate with experience

What You’ll Do:
  • Source, evaluate, and procure lumber, building materials, and plumbing, electrical, and mechanical products to support multisite operations
  • Lead vendor negotiations around pricing structures, rebates, volume discounts, delivery terms, and payment windows
  • Forecast purchasing requirements in collaboration with operations and management to support sales, construction, and maintenance needs
  • Monitor inventory levels across locations, ensuring accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and system controls
  • Identify costreduction opportunities and recommend procurement and inventory process improvements
  • Enter, track, and reconcile purchase orders within the ERP / inventory management system
  • Maintain accurate supplier records, pricing agreements, and purchasing documentation
  • Coordinate closely with maintenance and operations teams to ensure timely availability of critical parts and materials
  • Track product usage trends and proactively adjust purchasing and stocking strategies
  • Analyze inventory, cost, and purchasing data using Microsoft Excel and system reports, supporting management decisionmaking
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience working in retail, building supply, construction, or trade-based environments, with strong product knowledge across lumber, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical categories
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory management, and demand forecasting
  • High level of computer literacy, with comfort spending extended time working in systems and databases
  • Handson experience using ERP and inventory management systems to manage purchasing and stock levels
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to bring structure and accountability to processes
  • Confident, professional communicator with proven ability to negotiate and manage supplier relationships
  • Proactive, assertive, and resourceful problemsolver who takes ownership and drives outcomes
  • Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency, including reporting, analysis, and tracking
