Our client is a leader in the automotive industry. They are expanding and looking to add an experienced, licensed Tool & Die Maker to their team. Must have C of Q for Tool & Die Maker.
What We Offer:
- Salary: $41.63/hr plus shift premium (overtime is available)
- Job Type/Shift: Permanent, direct hire, full-time
- Shift: 2 – 3 weeks of dayshift and then 1 week of afternoons (afternoons is Monday to Thursday 10 hr shifts)

What You’ll Do:
- Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, or dial indicators.
- Set up and operate conventional or computer numerically controlled machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, or grinders to cut, bore, grind, or otherwise shape parts to the prescribed dimensions and finishes.
- Study blueprints, sketches, models, or specifications to plan sequences of operations for fabricating tools, dies, or assemblies.
- Inspect and test tools to ensure they meet operational requirements and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair tooling issues, including making modifications to improve tool performance.
- Maintain accurate records of tool repairs, and maintenance work performed.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to provide input for new tooling designs or modifications.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to read drawings, manuals, notes and designs.
- Exceptional knowledge of various machining and tool-making equipment.
- Experience with steel-cutting drills.
- Operation of overhead crane.
- Tool & Die Maker, COQ required.
- 1-2 years of experience required.
