Drake International is looking for a Commercial Damage Insurance Broker to join the business development team of our client located in Toronto.
Our client is an independent Canadian brokerage firm that has been in business since 1928 and operates in several provinces. With their accelerated growth, they need a sales professional like you to join their team!
What we offer:
- Competitive base salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, depending on experience, plus competitive commissions on your sales.
- Job Type: Permanent, Flexible full-time daytime schedule, Monday to Friday.

- Work Schedule: 100% remote work available, but you must be able to travel to their Toronto office as needed, a few times a year.
What you’ll do:
- As a producer/Broker, you will be responsible for prospecting and finding new clients.
- Sell commercial damage insurance to clients
- Establish client insurance coverage, calculate premiums and establish method of payment
- Provide information concerning group and individual insurance packages, the range of risk coverage, benefits paid and other policy features
- Ensure appropriate forms and other policy requirements are completed
- Monitor insurance claims and respond to clients' enquiries
What we’re looking for:
- You must hold a Ribo license in Commercial Damage Insurance.
- Must have at least 3 years of experience as a Commercial Damage Insurance Broker.
- Must have excellent communication skills to communicate with teams in other provinces.
- Must have a reliable home internet connection
- Must be comfortable with technology and able to navigate multiple software tools across two screens.
- A fast learner with strong organizational skills.
