Drake International is currently looking for Field Service Technicians – CNC Machinist – Installation and Maintenance in the Tooling Industry in the GTA Area.
Job Overview:
The CNC Field Service Technician provides on-site installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance for CNC machines at customer facilities throughout Ontario. This is a hands-on, field-based role for someone who enjoys diagnosing technical problems, working independently, and supporting customers directly on site.

What you do:
- Install, commission, and set up CNC mills, lathes, and rotary equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC control systems
- Perform preventive maintenance, alignments, calibrations, and testing
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals
- Train operators on basic machine care and operation when needed
- Complete clear service documentation and reports
- Travel to customer sites across Ontario (company vehicle provided)
- Follow all workplace and site safety standards
Who are you:
- Must have experience in field service, industrial maintenance, automation, or electromechanical repair
- Must have strong electrical troubleshooting skills (drives, motors, controls, sensors, PLCs) installation, and repair of CNC Machinery.
- Must have a mechanical aptitude with experience in hydraulics and pneumatics
- Must have a Valid Driver’s License with a clean drivers abstract
- Must have ability to diagnose issues using schematics and technical documentation
- Must have strong communication and customer service skills
- Must be self-motivated and comfortable working independently
- Must have Steel Toed Safety Shoes.
- Must pass a crim check.
