We are seeking a Health & Safety Training and Compliance Specialist to join our client’s team in the Waterloo region. This is an on‑site role at various client locations, so frequent travel is required.

What You’ll Do
  • Deliver engaging, interactive health and safety training in English and French to client organizations
  • Adapt training content to client-specific environments while ensuring compliance with Ontario Occupational Health & Safety legislation
  • Create inclusive, practical learning environments that emphasize real-world application
  • Conduct safety gap audits, hazard assessments, and health & safety program reviews
  • Provide clear, actionable recommendations to support compliance and continuous improvement
  • Work directly with client leadership and key stakeholders to identify risks, strengthen safety culture, and support organizational change
  • Support business development by delivering professional services training demonstrations for prospective clients, highlighting practical application, methodology, and value
  • Leverage hands-on experience with safety equipment (e.g., forklifts, scissor lifts) to enhance training credibility and demonstrations
  • Act as a trusted advisor to both existing and prospective clients across multiple industries
  • Maintain accurate training, consulting, and client engagement documentation
  • Travel to client sites as required
What We’re Looking For
  • Fully bilingual (English and French)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in health & safety training, adult education, or occupational safety roles
  • Strong working knowledge of Ontario Occupational Health & Safety legislation
  • Demonstrated experience delivering professional services-style demonstrations or presentations to support new client acquisition
  • Practical, hands-on experience with health & safety equipment and field environments
  • Strong stakeholder-level communication skills, with the ability to present, influence, and build credibility with client leadership, operational teams, and prospective clients
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing client delivery with demonstration support
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
Assets
  • Certifications such as Working at Heights, MEWP, Forklift, or Confined Space
  • Background in occupational health & safety consulting or program development
  • Experience supporting pre-sales, client onboarding, or professional services
