Drake International is hiring Administrative Coordinator – Customs Clerk – Logistics industry for our client in the Brampton area.
What we offer:
- Location: Brampton, L7A 1K9 ON
- Pay rate: $ 22 /hr.
- Shifts: Days – 1x Monday – Friday; 5:00 PM – 1:30 AM & Monday – Friday; 8:00 PM – 3:30 AM
- Start Date – ASAP on an ongoing basis.
What you will do:
- Prepare and proofread bills, reports, forms, manifest and correspondences to ensure the accuracy of text and format.
- Work with customs brokers to get timely customs entries on PAPS shipments for seamless transit of freight.
- Organizes with the dock to ensure accurate loading for the outbound lanes for the US gateways.
- Creates Manifests for Outbound Loads ensuring all information is completed.
- Cuts Line haul Order Number for the outbound load to be sent to dispatch.
- Checks and updates Dangerous Goods program to ensure accurate DG placards are input into the system and driver will have these placards in the trailers that needs to go with the outbound drivers for transport to Canada wide destination terminals.
- Sort incoming electronic mail and distribute it within departments in the organization.
- Interact with customers on a regular basis through phone and email.
- Ensure guests/customers are treated in a professional manner.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous Transportation or operational Customs/transborder experience is preferred / TruckMate and AS4000 are a definite asset.
- Must have worked in a high-paced and high-hand transactional environment.
- Must have a clear Crim check.
