Our Waste Management client located in Windsor Ontario is looking for Forklift Operators ASAP!
You must be comfortable handling and transporting waste, training will be provided for all successful applicants.
What we offer:
- $25.00 an hour
- 12 hours shifts- Straight days and nights available – 3days one week and 4 days the next week. 7:00am-7:00pm
- This is a temp to permanent position for the right person.
- Paid weekly
What you will be doing:
- Operating a Forklift indoors and outdoors in all weather.
- Support the Sustainability Services onsite program, including manual labor associated with chemical handling, lab pack duties, drum movements within the facility, drum bulking.
- Ensure proper waste segregation, meet regulatory shipment windows, adhere to container labeling, maintain good housekeeping, and keep accurate tracking logs.
- Collect, pour, transfer, consolidate, repackage, and package solid, liquid, and sludge material.
- Immediately report any unsafe conditions, incidents, injuries, or property damage to the supervisor.
- Follow Environmental and Quality Management System (ISO 14001/9001) policies, procedures, and operational controls related to job responsibilities.
Who you are:
- Forklift Truck Experience is a must
- Must have clean criminal record – We check
- Must be willing to be clean shaven as a respirator will sometimes be worn.
- This position is a combination of indoor and outdoor work and so you must be comfortable in all conditions.
- Ability to lift 34-40kg
- Worked in a manufacturing, construction or waste management environment.
- Have safety boots, glasses and hard hat.
