Our client located near Strathroy is looking for a dedicated Bookkeeper for their multi disciplined company. The idea candidate would come from property management and have experience working with YARDI.

What you will be doing:
- Recording transactions, entering all financial activity into the accounting systems for multiple companies
- Accounts Payable including processing vendor invoices, scheduling payments and reconciling statements.
- Accounts Receivables including issuing invoices, maintaining aging reports and recording payments for multiple companies.
- Bank Reconciliations including bank account, loans and matching balances and supporting documents.
- Payroll support, including processing, tracking and supporting filing and remittances.
- Sales tax and filling including HST for all companies in the organization.
- Assisting with year-end adjustments and journal corrections as well as providing schedules and back up for multiple companies.
Who they are:
- Prior experience in construction and/or property management accounting is required
- Formal training in accounting or bookkeeping (college diploma, certificate, or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience, including multi-entity environments
- Familiarity with Canadian accounting standards
- Solid understanding of debits/credits, accruals, and basic financial statements
- Knowledge of payroll and sales tax rules, especially HST
- Experience with common accounting software (particularly QuickBooks Online and Sage 50)
- Excel spreadsheets and supporting schedules: Take messy financial data and turn it into a structured, auditable, and useful report using formulas, etc. – without needing step-by-step instructions
