We're seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Policy Analyst to join our client's Government team in Toronto.

What You'll Do:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of existing accounting policies and identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement new accounting policies that align with government regulations and industry standards
- Provide expert guidance and recommendations to senior leadership on complex financial matters
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of accounting policies across government programs
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in the field of public sector accounting
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate policy changes and their impact
What We're Looking For:
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior-level accounting policy or advisory role
- Demonstrated expertise in analyzing and interpreting financial data
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present complex information to diverse stakeholders
- Proficient in the use of financial analysis software and data visualization tools
- Thorough understanding of government accounting regulations and best practices
