Our client, a well-established production facility serving growers and consumers, is known for maintaining efficient operations and high safety standards. We are seeking a reliable Forklift Operator to join their team 35 minutes outside of the Cornwall area.

What We Offer:
  • Salary: $23.27 hourly to start. 
  • Working Hours: 1st shift 7am-530pm (training and regular shift) 2nd shift 5pm-330am (regular shift) 
  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package available upon permanent hire.
What You’ll Do:
  • Safely operate a forklift to move raw materials, packaging, bulk soil, and finished products throughout the facility. 
  • Efficiently load and unload trucks and trailers, supplying production lines with materials and removing waste or finished goods. 
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and product locations. 
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and promptly report any defects or maintenance needs. 
  • Strictly follow all company and regulatory safety procedures (WHMIS, PPE, forklift safety, lockout/tagout, etc.). 
  • Keep work areas clean and organized, including outdoor yards, warehouses, and loading docks. 
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and truck drivers, and participate in regular training and safety meetings.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Valid forklift operator certification (counterbalance, sit-down, off-road as applicable) required. 
  • Experience in manufacturing, soil, agriculture, or a related industrial environment preferred. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent is considered an asset. 
  • Able to regularly lift up to 25 kg (55lbs) and perform physical tasks in a demanding environment. 
  • Strong attention to detail and a proven commitment to safety practices. 
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team, with basic math and record-keeping skills. 
  • Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends or overtime, with exposure to dust, outdoor weather, noise, large equipment, and bulk soil materials.
  • Background Check and Reliable transportation as the site is 35 minutes outside of Cornwall.
