Our client located 40 minutes north of London is seeking a Manager of Logistics  to lead the logistics and warehouse team.

 What you will be doing:
  • Lead shipping, receiving, warehousing, and material flow operations to ensure the accurate and timely movement of raw materials, components, and finished goods across the organization.
  • Create logistics strategies that support production efficiency, inventory.
  • Ensure compliance and accuracy of all shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOL), packing lists, ASN documentation, customs/import-export documentation, and carrier records.
  • Manage and negotiate inbound and outbound transportation activities while maintaining control of costs.
  • Lead cycle count programs, inventories root cause analysis maintaining accuracy and reliability of material shortages and production.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focusing on efficiency, lead time reduction, inventory accuracy, and cost savings.
  • Develop standardized logistics procedures, work instructions, and best practices to support operations.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Planning, Procurement, Quality, Customer Service, and Operations teams.
  • Budgeting activities, labor planning, and logistics cost management to maximize organizational objectives.

Who you are: 
  • College diploma or university degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in logistics, warehouse operations, supply chain, or materials management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of leadership experience managing shipping, receiving, warehouse, and material handling teams.
  • Experience managing high-volume logistics operations and supporting production-driven environments.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, inventory optimization, and warehouse process improvement methodologies.
