Our client, a well-established production facility serving growers and consumers, is known for maintaining efficient operations and high safety standards. We are seeking a reliable Front End Loader Operator to join their team – 35 minutes outside of Cornwall.
What We Offer:
- Salary: $25.67 hourly to start.
- Working Hours: 1st shift 7am–5:30pm (training); 2nd shift 5pm–3:30am (regular shift)
- Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package available upon permanent hire.
What You’ll Do:
- Safely operate a front-end loader to move, load, and organize bulk soil, raw materials, and aggregates in the yard and production facility.
- Supply production lines with material as needed and remove finished products or waste.
- Perform pre-operational inspections and routine equipment checks, report defects or maintenance needs immediately.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement, loads, and product locations using logs or digital systems.
- Assist with receiving and unloading bulk deliveries from suppliers.
- Ensure safe operation according to all company and regulatory standards (PPE, WHMIS, traffic procedures, signage, etc.).
- Maintain a clean and organized yard, storage, and working area.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and truck drivers, and participate in ongoing training and safety meetings.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid front end loader operator certificate or heavy equipment license (as required).
- Experience operating front end loaders in soil, aggregates, manufacturing, agriculture, or related settings preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is considered an asset.
- Able to regularly lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs) and perform physical tasks in a demanding environment.
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team, with basic math, reading, and record-keeping skills.
- Willingness to work various shifts, weekends, or overtime as required, with exposure to dust, outdoor weather, noise, heavy equipment, and bulk soil and aggregates.
- Background Check and Reliable Transportation – 35 minutes outside of Cornwall.
