The Role: Yard Service Technician
In this role, you will spend most of your time conducting inspections, identifying mechanical concerns, and performing basic diagnostics and repairs on 53-foot trailers. Your responsibilities will include maintaining tires, axles, lights, and fifth wheels, completing daily truck and trailer inspections, and keeping the service truck properly stocked and organized.
You will work closely with Drivers, Dispatch, and Maintenance teams to ensure equipment is ready for use and yard operations run smoothly. This role balances hands-on mechanical work with inspections, equipment preparation, and general yard support.
Hours may vary according to operational requirements, including early morning starts. Following training, regular hours are expected to be approximately 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with every other Saturday required.

Trailer, truck, or heavy equipment maintenance experience is an asset.

Proficiency with mobile devices for completing inspections and communicating information.

Strong spoken and written English communication skills.

A dependable, detail-oriented approach and the ability to work collaboratively with Drivers, Dispatch, and Maintenance teams.
Training will be provided as needed.
