We're seeking a dynamic Maintenance Supervisor to join our client's team in Belleville. As a Maintenance Supervisor you'll play an important role in the smooth running of our client’s day to day operations.
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring a safe working environment while overseeing Millwrights and third-party contractors. You will plan, budget, and execute small projects aimed at upgrading plant equipment. In this role, you'll troubleshoot equipment issues and explore more efficient solutions. The Maintenance Supervisor collaborates closely with fellow supervisors, Maintenance Planners, and the Reliability Engineer, reporting directly to the Senior Maintenance Supervisor.

What You'll Do:
- Schedule and supervise maintenance activities as planned by the Maintenance Planner to ensure equipment meets production needs.
- Oversee maintenance crews and outside contractors to ensure timely, high-quality completion of work.
- Assess employee skills and safety practices to identify training needs and maintain a skilled workforce.
- Ensure adherence to plant rules, policies, and health & safety protocols during maintenance operations.
- Manage urgent or breakdown repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Develop and motivate your team to maintain a reliable, competent workforce and provide technical support for problem resolution.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Department on work schedules, equipment use, and prioritization of mechanical expenditures to meet plant goals.
- Prepare estimates for materials and labor to develop project cost estimates and plant budgets.
- Monitor material usage to meet productivity and budgetary goals.
- Maintain records for time, work orders, materials, and equipment.
- Participate in the supervisory on-call rotation and be available for weekend and after-hours supervision of emergency repairs.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of mechanical aspects of plant projects.
What We're Looking For:
- At least 5 years of mechanical repair and maintenance experience, preferably in a heavy industry setting.
- Completed 433A industrial mechanic millwright license.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, with or without formal authority.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar systems is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Work Environment:
This role operates within a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical equipment, varying weather conditions, heat, humidity, high noise levels, and dusty conditions.
