Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Civil Estimator with proven underground utilities experience to join our client, a well-established and highly respected civil construction firm known for delivering complex infrastructure projects across the Lower Mainland.

What You’ll Do:

Produce complete estimates for a wide range of complex and unique heavy civil projects.
Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and required contents of the estimate.
Calculate complete takeoff of scopes of work, including material quantity requirements from engineering drawings based on first principles estimating.
Assists in reviewing final estimates to ensure alignment with project schedule and cost goals.

What We’re Looking for:

At least 5+ years of progressive experience in civil estimating, preferably in underground utilities, roadworks, bridges, and excavations.
A University Degree, College Diploma or certificate in Engineering or Construction Management. Or a combination of education and industry experience.
Construction knowledge – overall understanding of construction processes, sequencing and planning concepts.
A comprehensive understanding of the bid process cycle.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, outstanding time management, prioritization, multitasking, and organizational skills.
