Job Description

We're seeking a dynamic Cook to join our client's hospitality team in Edmonton.

What We Offer:

Salary: $17 - $21/hr
Job Type/Shift: Casual, events

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook menu items in a timely and consistent manner according to recipes and quality standards.
Ensure proper portion control, plating, and presentation of all dishes.
Follow food safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff, including chefs, dishwashers, and servers.
Maintain a clean work area during and after service, including proper storage of food and supplies.
Assist with inventory, prep work, and receiving deliveries as needed.
Monitor and record food temperatures, waste, and cleaning duties.
Adhere to all kitchen safety protocols, including handling knives and hot equipment.
Help ensure kitchen operations run smoothly, even during busy shifts.

What We're Looking For:

1+ years of experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role preferred.
Knowledge of food preparation methods, knife handling, and kitchen equipment.
Food Handler’s Certification.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and time management skills.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
A clean criminal record.
