Job Description

We're seeking a dynamic Bartender to join our client's hospitality team in Edmonton.

What We Offer:

Salary: $17 - $21/hr
Job Type/Shift: Casual, events

What You'll Do:

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following standard recipes and customer requests.
Greet guests in a friendly and welcoming manner; take drink and food orders as needed.
Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to responsible alcohol service protocols.
Maintain cleanliness of bar area, utensils, equipment, and glassware.
Restock bar inventory and supplies such as liquor, garnishes, glassware, ice, and napkins.
Engage with guests to build rapport, answer questions, and offer recommendations.
Monitor guest behavior and intervene as needed to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment.
Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Follow health and safety regulations and local alcohol laws.

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience as a bartender in a restaurant, pub, or event setting preferred.
Proficiency in mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
Excellent knowledge of spirits, wines, beer, and cocktail recipes.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A clean criminal record.
Must meet provincial legal age requirements to serve alcohol.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
ProServe certification (or equivalent depending on province) required.
