Under the direction of the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor will be responsible for the training and the communication of expectations, standards, results and feedback for the employees in their department.

What you will be doing:
- Assign work with instruction objectives during start-up and throughout the shift
- Communicate expectations/operational objectives/standards to employees
- Follow-up on work assignments
- Quantify variances to manpower needs
- Communicate efficiency & quality results to employees
- Identify and solve problems
- Implement method changes/conduct tasks analysis
- Provide feedback (positive & constructive) to employees
- Hold shift start meetings with employees
- Follow-up on company policies (Health & Safety, HACCP/SQF)
- Ensure Collective Agreement is applied and respected
- Identify, plan, provide and follow up on employee training (new employees, cross-training, Health & Safety, HACCP/SQF, etc.)
- Analyze and fill out reports and documents
- Participate in scheduled meetings (Transition/Production/Planning/Special Projects, Performance Variance Control Review)
- Collaborate with other supervisors (Production, Maintenance, and Shipping) to ensure fulfillment of manpower needs
What you will need
- High school diploma
- Three (3) to five (5) years of industrial supervisory experience, preferably in a unionized environment
- Knowledge of the food industry an asset
- Knowledge of HACCP/SQF regulations an asset
- Good judgment, team player, leadership and autonomy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
