We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Class 1 Driver to work on behalf of our client, a reputable company in the transportation industry, for heavy truck transportation services across Alberta.

Job Description:
As a Class 1 Driver representing Drake International's client, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy trucks to transport goods and materials across Alberta. This role requires exceptional driving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering superior service to our client's customers.

Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate and drive various types of heavy trucks, including tractor-trailer combinations, to transport goods and materials to designated locations across Alberta.
Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while operating vehicles and transporting cargo.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safe operation and compliance with transportation regulations.
Secure cargo properly to prevent damage or shifting during transit, utilizing straps, chains, and other securing devices as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, driving logs, and cargo deliveries.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues or concerns.
Ensure the timely and efficient delivery of goods while maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism.

Qualifications:
Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving abstract.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Class 1 Driver, preferably in heavy truck transportation.
Knowledge of and compliance with Alberta transportation regulations and safety standards.
Strong understanding of load securement techniques and cargo handling procedures.
Excellent driving skills and a demonstrated commitment to safety.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to work varied hours and travel across Alberta as required.
