309A Journeyman Electrician (2 positions) (Belleville, ON)
We are looking for a skilled and licensed 309A Journeyman Electrician to join our team. As a 309A Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in compliance with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC) and relevant regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and wiring in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
- Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to plan and execute installations and upgrades.
- Conduct inspections, tests, and preventive maintenance to ensure electrical systems operate safely and efficiently.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical problems using testing devices and diagnostic tools.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to coordinate and complete electrical projects on time and within budget.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and junior electricians to support their professional development.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and changes in electrical codes and standards.
Requirements:
- Valid 309A Electrical Contractor license issued by the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) in Ontario.
