Our client is looking for Shipper – Receiver - Metal Manufacturing on a permanent basis. This is a fulltime permanent job.

What you do:
As a Shipper – Receiver you will be the one responsible for the loading or unloading of materials coming in or materials to be shipped out. You will verify all incoming shipments to ensure the correct products have come in. You are responsible for ensuring orders being shipped out are sent with the correct materials and paperwork.
You will keep secure records of ingoing and outgoing inventory.
You will pack and unpack materials on Pallets. Itemizes contents of each box or skid, noting the weight and dimensions.
Determines if shipment is by land, sea or air and package accordingly (using visual aids).
You will maintain quality control of goods by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.
You will schedule shipments.
You will prepare and/or sign off on shipping documents (i.e.: bills of lading, invoices, etc.).
You will report any damaged products or equipment to superiors.
You will ensure safe disposal of leftover packing materials or hazardous waste.
You will sign off Final Check List that comes with Machines or Mold Blocks.
If the Check List, Job Cards, or other related documentation is missing or if not completely signed off, you will notify the Department Supervisor immediately for corrective action.
You will determine which method of packaging to be used for safety and to comply with cartage company requirements accordingly or using visual aids as sample; The wood packaging is boxes or crates made with raw wood and plywood. The cutting/ sawing and manufacture/ assembly of the packaging is done in the shipping department.
You will submit signed copy of Inland Bill, Pick-Up Slips, and other paperwork including returning of all the Job Cards and Drawings to Production office and checks List to QC room.
Maintain a clean and well-kept stock room for prompt and courtliness service to all personnel.
You will ensure safe work practices are adhered to and appropriate PPE is always worn.
You will ensure all tools and equipment are operated with care.
You will perform daily cleaning of your work area.
Who are you:
2- 3 years of experience in shipping and receiving
Experience in operating forklifts and Palletizing is preferred.
Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data.
Solid understanding of health and safety regulations.
Basic math and recording abilities.
Excellent organizational skills.
Great communication and interpersonal abilities.
Keen eye for detail.
Good physical condition.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
