Job Description

Drake International is currently hiring a Yard Attendant for our client in the Whitchurch Stouffville area.

Our client is a leading Canadian company specializing in live and live-online salvage vehicle auctions, with facilities across British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada.

What we offer:

Location: L4A 3M4, Whitchurch-Stouffville (On site Job)
Pay rate: $ 19 /hr. – Temp to Perm role
Shifts: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM onwards, Monday to Friday (must be flexible as per business requirements) training will be provided
Start Date – ASAP, on an ongoing basis.

What you do:

Vehicle check-in by recording and filing information on vehicles being assigned to the facility
Detail (thoroughly clean) vehicles to improve their appearance for purposes of enhancing their value at auction
Operate passenger vehicles in a safe manner for the purposes of moving the vehicles around the facility and/or participating in drive-through auctions
Recover keys, license plates, and other information or objects from vehicles at the facility and store them in the appropriate locations at the branch
Assist visitors by providing appropriate guidance and/or directing them to the appropriate person for additional assistance
Immediately report all violations of company policy to a supervisor or manager

What we’re looking for:

Must have a high school diploma (or equivalent)
Must have passion or cars, mechanical knowledge is an asset
Must be able to work in a physical demanding work environment with ability to thrive in a fast-paced, this is no desk job
Must be able to work primarily outdoor work in all types of weather
Must have a valid G2 driving license
Must have excellent customer service skills
Must successfully pass a criminal background check
