If you have experience in building supply company or small production and are comfortable leading a team of 10-15 employees, this position might be for you. Our client is currently looking to hire a Production Team Lead for the Door Department.

What you do:
- Ensure effective and efficient daily operations of the shop while maintaining accurate records of inventory.
- Create a system to ensure stock is stored correctly, labelled, and ready to be picked for clients with efficiency.
- Quality checks on all materials and work of the shop, if an issue arises, you will oversee correcting and managing complaints.
- Manage maintenance of equipment and ensure cost efficient repairs and maintenance.
- Execute and maintain a high level of Health and Safety, holding meeting and being part of joint health and safety team.
- Develop processes to continuously improve operations and standard operating procedures as well as keeping updated records for ease of use and compliance.
- Daily machine inspections are completed and review safe practices.
- Be proactive in staffing needs and scheduling manpower to manage workflow.
- While collaborating with HR, you will conduct new hire interviews, establish departmental training needs for new and existing employees and ensure completed training is documented.
- In charge of reviewing and approve timesheets and managing time-off requests.
- Conducts employee performance reviews, probationary reviews, employee coaching and feedback.
- This position will also require that you are sometimes hands on and pitch in where needed and so you will have to be able to lift to 50 pounds.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Who you are:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid and clean Driver’s License, Forklift License and First Aid Certification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in building materials or small manufacturing operation.
