Job Description

Our client a family-owned Foundry located in London is actively seeking a CNC set-up Operator - Straight Days!

What you will be doing:

Operate and set up a variety of machine tools, including CNC machines, lathes, mills, and grinders to manufacture and modify parts based on detailed blueprints or work orders.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints.
Inspect and measure parts for conformance to specifications using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
Maintain machines and tools by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
Monitor production runs to ensure quality standards are met, adjusting machine settings or tools as necessary.
Ensure that all workpieces are within tolerance levels and meet safety and quality standards.
Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting with casting processes, mold preparation, or foundry operations as needed.
Mentor and train other workers on machining techniques, proper use of tools, and adherence to quality control standards.

Who you are:

3-5 years CNC set up 5 Axis
Ability to read blueprints and make tool adjustments
Experience working in a heavy environment in hotter temperatures
Ability to mentor and train machinist and operators
Excellent Math skills are required for measurements of tooling
Amazing attitude and team player
