Job Description

A local Winnipeg company is looking to add a skilled Carpenter to their team.

What You'll Do:

Install wooden structures such as roofing framers, joists, partitions, rafters, and stud work
Read and follow blueprints and ensure that all building code recommendations and requirements are being met
Measure, cut, frame
Keep area clean and tidy
Removal of carpet and flooring using hand tools and power tools
Perform manual labour tasks such as load, unload, package, and clean-up of goods and materials

What We're Looking For:

Minimum 5-years previous carpentry experience
Looking for hands on carpenters – titles are left in the office when on the jobsite
Red seal carpenter or working towards it
At ease with hand and power tools, including drills, saws, nail guns chisels and sanders
Comprehensive knowledge of building regulations and codes
Valid driver’s license is required
Own tool belt with tools is required
Able to perform physical labour jobs, including standing/walking for extended periods, performing repetitive tasks, and lifting materials up to 50 lbs. for up to eight hours at a time
Must have steel toe boots, safety vest, hard hat, safety glasses and other PPE may be needed
Client facing position: respectful communication and neat and tidy appearance is a must
Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow verbal or written directions, a high sense of urgency, and a team player attitude
Fully available Monday - Friday with a history of perfect attendance
