We are currently looking for an experienced Blown Film Extrusion Operator to join our client's team in Edmonton, AB. The Extrusion Operator will be responsible for the production of plastic rolls for the packaging industry, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. They will work collaboratively as part of a team to optimize production while upholding quality and safety standards. The primary role involves operating, monitoring, and tuning blown film extrusion machinery, including pre-production setup and changeovers.

- Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 based on experience

What You'll Do:
- Safely operate a three-layer and/or mono-layer blown film extrusion system.
- Make adjustments to extruder settings to maximize productivity.
- Perform order changes as required.
- Ensure product quality and adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Conduct continuous quality checks during production runs.
- Maintain a clean work environment to comply with food safety standards.
- Monitor machine performance and maintain output, quality, and waste targets.
- Perform multiple tasks autonomously within a manufacturing environment.
- Fulfill any other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
- Have a Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent, with proficiency in reading, writing, and basic math.
- Have five years of experience in blown extrusion or similar manufacturing environments (co-extrusion experience preferred).
- Have strong mechanical skills and basic computer knowledge.
- Attentive to detail, have organizational skills, and the ability to follow procedures.
- You are resourceful, flexible, and effective communicator.
- Have leadership qualities and willingness to assist others in safe work practices.
- Think Logically and have problem-solving abilities.
- Have a good knowledge of food safety standards (BRC and ISO knowledge preferred).
- Able to work shiftwork (12-hour shifts, days/nights).
- Able to lift 50 pounds and be physically fit to navigate stairs regularly.
- Have access to transportation or ability to travel to the workplace for various shifts.
