Job Description

We're seeking a Shunt Driver to join our client's team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

What We Offer:

Salary: $18.50/hour
Job Type/Shift: Full-time, Monday-Friday

What You'll Do:

Transport clients and/or packages to and from destinations.
Perform daily commercial vehicle inspections with the completion of necessary safety checks and monitor the vehicle for any major/minor defects and report them to safety.
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew, checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
Demonstrate customer service standards for delivery service.
Safely park trailers.
Maneuver loaded and empty trailers.
Ensure the safe movement of large vehicles and trailers (53’ dry box, flat beds and other custom trailers) around the yard.

What We're Looking For:

Minimum 1 year of driving experience with class 1 airbrake vehicles.
Showing respect and concern for work equipment.
Maneuvering loaded and empty trailers.
Clean criminal background, Clean drivers abstract.
