Job Description

We're seeking a dedicated and experienced Foreman to join our client's team in Edmonton and lead construction projects. As a Foreman, you'll oversee daily on-site operations and ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards. Out-of-town work is optional and typically for only short durations if required.

What You'll Do:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of employees and subcontractors.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to ensure compliance with design requirements.
Assist in setting up, checking and correcting sign setups on rural and major roads.
Operate heavy equipment in a demonstrative and as-needed capacity.
Implement quality control measures to ensure work meets industry standards and client expectations.
Ensure all safety protocols are followed on-site to maintain a safe working environment, including filling out daily hazard assessments and site inspections.
Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and team members to provide updates on progress and address any issues that arise.
Train and mentor junior staff in construction techniques, safety practices, and company policies.

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience as a Construction Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry.
Prior experience with gravel road construction and maintenance.
Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead teams effectively.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Prior experience with SiteDocs.
Prior experience operating a grader is mandatory. Experience operating Excavators, Tractors, Dozers, Skid steers, and loaders (wheeled or tracked) is a benefit.
