We're seeking an experienced, licensed Tool & Die Maker to join our client, a leader in the automotive industry. As a Tool & Die Maker, you'll work closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure that tooling performs at optimal levels and minimizes downtime.

- Salary: $43 - $44/hr, plus shift premiums and bonus program (overtime is available).

What You’ll Do:
- Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as callipers, gauge blocks, micrometres, or dial indicators.
- Set up and operate conventional or computer numerically controlled machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, or grinders to cut, bore, grind, or otherwise shape parts to prescribed dimensions and finishes.
- Visualize and compute dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of assemblies based on specifications.
- Study blueprints, sketches, models, or specifications to plan sequences of operations for fabricating tools, dies, or assemblies.
- Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools using machine tools, hand tools, or welders.
- Fabricate and assemble tools, dies, and fixtures for steel blanking and stamping operations.
- Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on tooling to extend tool life and reduce production interruptions.
- Inspect and test tools to ensure they meet operational requirements and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair tooling issues, including making modifications to improve tool performance.
- Maintain accurate records of tool repairs and maintenance work performed.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to provide input for new tooling designs or modifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all tooling operations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for tooling design enhancements or cost reductions.
- Operate an overhead crane.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work various shifts on a rotational basis.
- Ability to read drawings, manuals, notes and designs.
- Exceptional knowledge of various machining and tool-making equipment.
- Experience working with progressive and transfer presses/dies.
- Experience with steel-cutting drills.
- Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively.
- Operation of overhead crane.
- Tool & Die Maker, COQ required.
- 1-2 years of experience required.
