Job Description

We're seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our client, a well-known transportation company, for a 6-month contract in Waterloo.

What We Offer:

Days; 8 am – 5 pm (1 hour lunch) or 8:30 am-5 pm.
$26.50/hour
Paid weekly

What You'll Do:

Perform general accounting duties which may include bank reconciliations, journal entries, month-end closing tasks and credit card reconciliations.
Accounts Receivable, catch-up needed.
Accounts Payable, catch-up.
Resolve overdue accounts by preparing collection reports, examining customer payment history and contacting customers by phone and email.
Address, document and follow through to the end of all A/P discrepancies.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

Post-secondary education in accounting/finance, payroll or equivalent work experience.
Three (3) years of general accounting experience.
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office software packages.
