Job Description

We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and task-oriented Administration and Accounting Coordinator for a growing construction firm in the Cornwall area. In this position, you will manage complex schedules, provide administrative support, and prioritize tasks in a dynamic corporate environment.  

What We Offer:
  • Salary $50,000/year
  • Full-Time - Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm (on-site)
  • 2 Weeks’ vacation to start

What You’ll Do: 
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, auditing practices, and financial controls, and how these apply to financial accounting and reporting. 
  • Assist management in implementing and executing tasks, goals, and responsibilities.
  • Monitor progress of open and ongoing jobs and projects, providing daily reports to upper management.
  • Manage workflow, ensuring deadlines are met and work is completed efficiently.
  • Implement and monitor programs directed by management, seeing them through to completion.
  • Generate memos, emails, and reports as appropriate and maintain office supplies by checking inventory and ordering items.
  • Participate in training new staff and respond to questions and requests for information.
 
What We’re Looking For:
  • 1-2 years of experience in an accounting role.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to analyze and revise operating practices to improve efficiency.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and a creative problem solver.
  • Attention to detail and ability to catch discrepancies in data Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel) and Google Sheets.
  • QuickBooks experience is an asset.
  • Fluency in both French and English is considered an asset.
