Job Description

We're seeking certified and experienced Propane and Electric Counterbalance Forklift Operators to join our client's team in the Orillia area. As a Forklift Operator, you'll be responsible for managing the movement of materials within the facility, ensuring that products are handled safely and efficiently.

What We Offer:

Location: Orillia ON, L3V 6H2
Salary $20/hr - $22/hr, depending on experience
Shifts: Rotating continental shifts; 2 weeks of day shift (7 am - 7 pm) and 2 weeks of night shift (7 pm - 7 am).
Start Date – ASAP on an ongoing basis.
Temporary-to-Permanent opportunity

What You’ll Do:

Operate a Propane and Electric Counterbalance Forklift according to instructions provided.
Follow safety measures while operating both manual and mechanical functions.
Ensure Film Orders are skidded and secure with rolls standing and adequate signage.
Assist production runs by preparing and staging materials.
Perform and document tow motor safety checks daily before use.
Remove full core/wood boxes and replace them with empty boxes.
Weigh and tag full scrap boxes according to material and replace them with empty boxes; record any weighed scrap on scrap reports.
Maintain the production and warehouse areas ensuring a clean, safe, and organized environment.
Other duties as requested and required.

What We’re Looking For:

3+ years of relevant forklift (counterbalance) and material handling experience.
Valid forklift certification.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Able to lift to 60 pounds.
Experience loading materials and merchandise onto trailers.
Must have experience using Material handling equipment (MHE).
Must have a clean criminal background.
